Voxie is a place where people meet through their voice. Keeping it safe depends on everyone following the same few rules. These rules apply everywhere in the App — voice calls, voice rooms, messages and stories.
1. Respect Comes First
Treat the person on the other end as if you were talking face to face. Insults, humiliation, mockery and persistent pestering are not acceptable.
If someone does not want to talk to you, do not insist. Being blocked is an answer.
2. Strictly Prohibited
- any content, suggestion or solicitation relating to child sexual abuse,
- sexual content, obscene audio or images, exhibitionism,
- harassment, bullying, threats, blackmail, stalking,
- hate speech, racism, discrimination,
- incitement to violence, terrorist propaganda, encouragement of crime,
- promotion of suicide or self-harm,
- trade in illegal goods and services,
- fraud, phishing, deceptive links,
- sharing another person's personal data or private images without permission,
- fake identities, impersonating another person or Voxie staff,
- spam, advertising, bulk messaging.
Where child abuse material is shared, the account is closed immediately and the matter is reported to the competent authorities.
3. Audio and Visual Content
Your voice intro, voice notes, photos and stories are subject to the same rules.
Do not record and share someone else's voice or image without their permission. Our calls are not recorded; recording a call with another device and distributing it also breaches these rules and may be a criminal offence.
4. Your Own Safety
This is an anonymous environment. We do not verify the identity, age or statements of the person you are talking to.
- Do not share identity, address, phone, school, workplace, bank or payment details.
- Be careful with anyone who asks you for money, tries to move you to another app, or applies emotional pressure — report them.
- Block anyone who makes you uncomfortable — you do not need to give a reason.
- If you are in immediate danger, call 112.
5. What Happens When You Report
The moment you tap report, a mutual block is applied between you and the person you reported: neither of you can message the other or see the other in the discovery feed.
Your report is reviewed within 24 hours at the latest. If the same story is reported by more than one person it may be withdrawn until the review is complete.
We may not always be able to tell you the outcome of your report; this protects the privacy of the person reported. Every report is reviewed nonetheless.
6. Enforcement and Appeals
Depending on the severity of the breach, your content may be removed, your visibility reduced, your messaging restricted, or your account suspended or permanently closed.
If you believe a measure was applied in error, write to support@getvoxie.app to appeal. Your appeal is reviewed by a person within 15 days at the latest and the outcome is communicated to you.
7. Age Limit
Voxie is for people aged 18 and over. If you notice a user who appears to be under 18, please report them — those reports are reviewed as a priority.
