Why Voxie
Most social apps ask you for something first: turn on the camera, gather followers, set up a server, wait for an invite. Voxie asks for none of it.
Calls and rooms are voice only, so nobody can ask you to turn on a camera. That moment simply doesn't happen here.
You can join a room as a listener. Never taking the mic is a perfectly normal way to use Voxie.

Yes. Free voice chat: downloading and using Voxie costs nothing, and Discover, voice rooms and messages are open to everyone. Voxie Premium adds optional extras like filters and extended talk time.
No. You can join rooms as a listener — you only take the mic if and when you want to. You can stay and just listen without ever speaking.
No — by design. Every call on Voxie is audio only. Nobody can ask you to turn on a camera, because calls and rooms have no video.
One-to-one calls start with a 90-second round (3 minutes if either of you has Premium), and either of you can extend it. Free accounts get 3 extensions a day, Premium gets 30.
In the Chat tab, tap Group; your room opens right away, and you can change its name and topic from inside. It shows up in the open-rooms list; unless it is locked, anyone can join as a listener and take a free seat on the mic. As the host, you can mute speakers, remove them or lock the room.
That's what it's for. Find people in Discover or by searching an interest tag, hear their voice, and keep the good ones in messages. Voxie is for adults, 18 and up.
You show up as a nickname and an illustrated avatar; no real name, photo or phone number required. Calls aren't recorded. Blocking and reporting are on every screen. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
